Vodacom and Research In Motion (RIM) announced the launch of the new BlackBerry Bold 9790 and BlackBerry Curve 9380 smartphones in South Africa today (21 February 2012). Both devices run on the new BlackBerry 7 operating system.

BlackBerry Bold 9790  have the following features

1) Dimensions - 110 x 60 x 11.4 mm , Weight 107 g and Keyboard    QWERTY
2) DISPLAY - TFT capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors , size 480 x 360 pixels, 2.45 inches and Optical trackpad
3) MEMORY - microSD ,  Internal 8 GB storage and 768 MB RAM
4) DATA - GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, WLAN and Wi-Fi 802.11
5) CAMERA - Primary Camera 5 MP, 2592x1944 pixels, autofocus, LED flash, check quality and No Secondary Camera
6) FEATURES -  BlackBerry OS 7.0 , CPU    Marvel Tavor MG1 1 GHz , No Radio, No Java and Colors are Black

BlackBerry Curve 9380 have the following features
