Gmail goes down the world stand still

There are thousand of GMail users today left stranded after Twitter users took to their accounts to tell the world that the e-mail program wasn't connecting. It look like that both the consumer version for "gmail.com" accounts wasn't working, as well as corporate e-mail systems that use Gmail as their e-mail platform. Chrome, Google’s browser, was reported to be crashing frequently in some instances.

But the cutoff highlights the downside of relying on information stored only in the cloud of the Internet, particularly for businesses that pay to use Google Apps, including Gmail, Docs for word processing and Drive for file storage.

But the new reports suggest that is back to normal with minor issues. Google's status page also confirmed that there was a "service disruption" for Gmail.
