Windows 8.1 is now available for download from the Windows Store

Win8-1 3row 16x9 US thumb 2E7D370DMicrosoft announced on Thursday, 17 October 2013, that Windows 8.1 is now available for download from the Windows Store.Microsoft also announced that the limited support period for Windows 8 will end on 18 October 2015. Microsoft stresses that this is for security and stability reasons.
